The Maine Coast Microbrewerery
needed a logo makeover which would apply to all of their graphics
as well as to four new six-pack designs for their best selling
brews.
The owner asked that I utilize
the rocky cliffs illustration from their original graphics, but
that I also create a look which would convey a classic nautical
feel, typical of of Downeast Maine. The challenge was not so
much to capture that feel , but to do so in a way which would
also be contemporary and still distinctive among the many
microbrews on New England store shelves.
Each of the final designs
incorporates a background graphic or motif representing the particular
style of beer. When stocked in shelves, the revised graphic,
with its compass points and distinctive Copperplate type, create
a single and strong impression.
The Jack Russells package carries
a logo that Melissa Roberts and I created, and which
we applied to signage as well. |
